As a return customer. I got a chance to visit Albert’s lab for a quick chat about his in house tube DAC ( DA-512DSD-2) super. He basically gave me a free lesson on explaining why tube DAC is far superior than solid stage DAC, and I’m sold after he offers me a listening demo.
During the demo Albert showed me the world first direct heated triode 845 preamp. By comparing to another small tube preamp with the same song i was blown away with the clarity, depth and holographic wide 3D soundstage details. I have never seen or heard any preamp use such big triode tube. 845 is a power output tube usually found on higher power amplifier. Again in my opinion Albert’s audio tropology has surpassed many commercial's made audio gears on the market. Just the flexibility of tube rolling in a single chassis already worth to mention.
My previous purchase was STR-1003 Super rectifier. After over a year of test and listening I cannot go back to 274b . The muffed sound from the 274b made me put it back in their original box.
